We had lots of fun learning about sinking, floating and density. We conducted our experiment using large bowls of water and a collection of fruit and vegetables. We made predictions about whether each fruit or vegetable would float or sink before putting it into the water. We recorded our predictions to compare to the results later. It was so exciting to discover if our predictions were right. It was also fascinating to see that some things that felt heavy floated, especially the oranges.
