We learned about the Day of the Dead. It is a festival celebrated in Mexico. It is a happy time when people remember their loved ones who have died. People dress up as skeletons and use skeletons in their decorations for the festival.
We made our own skeletons with black paper and chalk. Then we used oil pastels to decorate them with patterns. We also used bits of crumpled up tissue paper to give our art a 3D texture.
