We have been doing a LOT of reading in Room 16 over the past few months. We've also found various different and fun ways to enjoy and improve our reading. DEAR time is a new daily activity where we sit quietly and read our favourite book independently, either in classroom or the school library. We also participate in paired reading, where we read with a partner, and Reader's Theatre, where we got the chance to perform as a our favourite characters from our novel study of Roald Dahl's classic George's Marvellous Medicine! World Book Day was also a great success, and gave us the opportunity to discuss our favourite books and listen to the reading of some new books! Take a look...
